Just select a directory to install to from your Script Library and it'll do everything for you :D After installation is complete, you can log in to the admin panel and configure your settings via a web interface.

I wish it were that simple. Do i need to install a mySql DB first? Here's my error message:
lib/WikiDB/backend/PearDB.php:32: Fatal[256]: Can't connect to database: wikidb_backend_mysql: fatal database error
* DB Error: connect failed
* ( [nativecode=Access denied for user: 'jbhalper_phpwiki1@localhost' (Using password: YES)] ** mysql://jbhalper_phpwiki1:XXXXXXXX@localhost/jbhalper_phpwiki1)

It it is supposed to install the DB for you.
If you wish, you could change your cpanel password and I can log in and take a look for you (PM me if you wish to do this).

Well, now that you've been so kind and done all that work for me. Can you direct me to where i'd look at editing the look/feel of the pages? Things like font/layout/colors, nothing really monkeying with the mechanics of the Wiki, i don't want that breaking down on me.
Also, where should i look for the admin u/p creation function so i can access the wiki's admin.php page, and be able to set up a userbase.
Sorry for all the requests, but i'm patient, so answer what you can as you can and know i appreciate it a very great deal.

Well it's 1:20 AM and I just finished about 10% of my homework (lol...) so if you don't mind, I'll get to work on it tomorrow :)
EDIT: Waaaaiiiit... It's already tomorrow... 1:20 AM... I meant later today.

Absolutely not. I just meant when you get a chance, i realize you're not here as my personal servant.
Where are you at school? What for? (I'd be super-surprised if it were computer-related.) Good luck on the homework.

I'm in high school :) For... errr... general education? :)
Anyhow, I've got some time this evening, could you send me the username and password again please? I just need to get in to see where to edit the layout of the page and all that stuff. Thanks!

I'm not sure if I'm quick... I started HTML about 6 years ago and I've been doing PHP for about 2 years... Been doing C/C++ for 4 years and I'm still horrible at all of these! :P

There was a 14 year old kid who hacked into a nuclear power plants computer network and had full control of it soon after 9/11. They probably would have never found out but the kid was bragging to his friends and his parents overheard and told someone. They checked it out and sure enough, someone has played around with the files, adding little messages.
I heard that on some nightly news show. I was pretty shocked. Then again, I'm 17 and have been doing internet stuff since I was 12 along with cracking and hacking software for about 2 years. Kids today are going to be computer dependent and that probably isn't a good thing :P

furthermore, i was wondering if there's a way to create users, and how that ties into the whole admin thing. if you can just point me in the direction of where to deal with all this stuff, i can look into it, i'm just lost for the most part.

I don't think there is a way to create users; the intent of a wiki is so everyone can edit what-/how- ever they please :P
You could looking for some PHPWiki mods on google or other places though that add this feature. I'll be more than happy to help you install them :)
