I like it becuase, (I have never used this program) becuase it basically gave me an overview of what to do and what each tool did and its purpose etc. Nice. :)

Good tutorial, but why did you have to make two threads for it? All the other one is was just to let people know you were making it...why couldnt you have just put the link to the tutorial in their? Please do not do this again. Consider this a warning, it if happens again, I will add to your warn count, and higher it gets, the more worried you should be.

because i wanted to have a poll to see what rate it is given

Here's a CRAZY idea! You could have inserted the poll and the thread in the SAME thread! Wow, isn't that just mad as hell?

I think you're all being just a little harsh...Give the guy a break. He's trying to offer something to hostmatrix (a tutorial) and you all are giving him grief about it. He is contributing to the purpose of this site.

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't feel the need to help out again...I sure wouldn't if I got responses like that.

I was just suggesting the next time you do that. You can attach a poll to the thread in a specific while after you have posted, which is, by default, 24 hours. But I think it would be better to next time click "Make a poll" and put the thing in the poll thread.

And MikeyBe, I know I wasn't being the most friendly person in that post but it just pisses me off when people try to increase their post count with doubleposts, even though Asgsoft didn't this time really mean to do that.

So, instead of making two threads, you could click "NewPoll" and put the tutorial in it, and at the same time, making the thread include them both. And about attaching the poll, you can use the "edit" button after you have made the thread and then you can attach a poll, if I remember right.

It dosent really explain how to use Flash, all it does is point out items and says what they do, which most people can work out them selves. Maybe u should add something like how to do tweening .etc

Exactly what I was thinking. Tools aren't useful if you don't know how to use them.

You say there are a lot of difference between AS1 and AS2.. I got MX Studio for dreamweaver and fireworks, haven't played around in FlashMX yet, but I was a venerable pro at AS1.. Do I basically have to learn a new language, or is it the same just wth more functionality and the like?

asgsoft

it is not a big diffrence but if you are a pro at as1 then as2 should be easy. i am good at as 1 and started as2
