Hey,
I'm currently in the process of making a website, I want to have a download section.
I'm not sure exactly how i would do this, would i have to host the files on my web host (hopefully u guys hint) and then create a link to the file or what.
How is this done normally?
Thnx in advance.

HM does not allow file storage as it is inefficient use of resources. A downloads section would, therefore, most likely be in direct violation of the ToS.

I see, what package would i need to get to be allowed to have a downloads section?
How does everyone else do it if I'm not alowed hosting my files on here???

get an FTP? I think you can store files in an FTP then redirect it's url in your website , and maybe u can get people to dl it from there

No one else uses their site to run a downloads section. No HM package allows doing something like that; it's a waste of bandwidth and therefore against the ToS. You can have web pages (.html/.php/etc) and images, midi, and flash files that are going to be used on your pages (as in, for visual/audio effects on your pages; not for download). A few accounts have been known to be deleted/suspended for hosting files for download (most of them were mp3). Please read the ToS more thoroughly before asking hosting related questions.

OK, I got it.
I think I'm not going to have a download section, its too risky and I dont want to be banned or anything!
