There are two types of counters: Hit and Visit;

Uploading Programs
FTP short for File Transfer Protocol, the protocol used on the Internet for exchanging files.

HTML Editors

Many HTML Editors claim to be WYSIWYG. WYSIWYG means "What-you-see-is-what-you-get." In short, the program will create the HTML code and all you have to do is place the stuff on your screen. Many of these editors have flaws in them. So be careful.
Microsoft Frontpage 2002 - Many people see the name 'Microsoft' and run. But that's not the case with Frontpage. FP is a light HTML Editor. It has pretty good capabilities of being a WYSIWYG but many times the generated code is not compatible with lower version of Internet Explorer and Netscape. However, the program is pretty solid, it has many addons which are available through 3rd parties. This site lists a lot of those addons. Macromedia Dreamweaver MX - Macromedia has brought many products, many of which have changed the way the web works. One of these is Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver has extra-ordinary features, it's sleek GUI lets the user do a lot at the same time. Get a forum
A forum is an online message board through which members can communicate with each other. Your forum might become one of the main aspects of your clan.
However, It is very important to decide one thing: Public or Private?
A public forum can be accessed by anyone, even your enemy clans.
By choosing to create a public forum you are inviting people to speak as they wish. Many of your messages will be filled with spam and almost everything important will be buried under several different topics.
A private forum however guarantees you, the webmaster, the right to control the people who have access to your forum. Your forum is now strictly for clan members and important topics are always on top. However, by creating a private forum you are cutting the time a person spends on your site. They cannot view or access one of the main items of your site and thus unless you have other content available on your site, it will attract less attention.
The best way to add a forum to your website is to host it on your own. You must have your own server in order to upload the necessary files. A free server will not work if you plan on hosting a message board script. However, this is an option for only the most advanced users who do not mind spending money for a server.
Remember your site is who you are, what your clan is. Your site is one of the best ways to attract new recruits. Chose your options carefully.
