This is for those who have experience with the various Content Management System script tools that are available...
I am trying to make a digital library for a class and have noticed that there are a large variety of content management systems(CMS) (php-nuke, mambo, drupal) etc. to make some great web sites that are able to organize content very well.
My goal is to make a library where I can add metadata (i.e. Dublin Core) to the content and have the CMS organize and present it in a meaningful way as well as provide various search functionalities.
For example, I want to add metadata to a web page of content describing it's author, title, and creation date...uploead it to the server...then have the CMS look at the metadata and allow users to browse documents by author, title, or creation date (perhaps making them tabs at the top of the page).
So the question is, which of these CMS tools is the best to use? Is this even possible?
Thanks in advance...
Mike
