I'm looking for any suggestions on how to get more players on my game? Does anyone have any suggestions. Keep in mind I'm targeting a specific audience.

Not sure if this is what your looking for, but try finding other sites related to your site's topic...like for me, my site is Halo/Halo 2, so I go around to other Halo/Halo 2 sights I know of and ask them if they want to become affilates and trade 81x33 Buttons and link ....that helps me with getting more users and hits...hope that helps!

submit it to mpogd.com if you haven't already

also, try using some link exchanges that have to do with online games

In Cpanel submit it to search engines, do some link trading etc.

I'm sure the numerous cpanel tutorials floating around address this functionality.

What creator did for HM is, he just went around through other webmastering forums and put posts there inviting people. That was the early stages of advertising HM, and we got great members.

Now we are getting the traffic from clickherefree.com mainly.

Remember, HM is the most successfull forum i have ever seen, because its not even a month we have started, and see how much activity is here.

HM rocks.

Thanks for all the tips guys! I did register my game on some of the game ranking sites and I'm offering my players in game bonuses for voting at those sites every day. That's helping so far. I'll look into swapping adverts with some sites and I'll hit some forums.

HM does rock! It's amazing what you guys are giving out for free and it's nice to be apart of a good forum!

Putting your site in directories also helps a little, as some people (well, ok, me) go through search engine directories when keywords don't turn up a lot of good stuff. The main, big internet directory thing is dmoz.org, but when I tried adding my site, something funny happened. Maybe its just my box though.
