My new site is not working. Help Please...

I placed an index.htm file (basic html) in the public_html folder using cpanel and went to www.mikebeccaria.hostmatrix.org and mikebeccaria.hostmatrix.org and both times my browser said they couldn't find the site. There was a dns error.

Was it spelled correctly as given to me in my email? Am I missing something?

This is a long shot but try renaming it to a .html file.

Tried both htm and html. Its just a simple web page that I'm using as a test.

Also, notice the address they gave me was hostmatix and not hostmatrix (no "R"). Could this be right? I am also getting "hostmatix" when I install Mambo from my cpanel and it tells me I can access the site at mikebeccaria.hostmatix.org/mambo (no "R"). It should be hostmatRix right? In any case, I can't access the mambo page or the admin for the mambo page....just cpanel. Please help.

hmmm,,,I think there must be a problem when your sccount was set up...ask the admins about it, im sure they can help...

It should be
hostmatRix.org

Did you upload it on FTP or CPanel?

Cpanel. I havnt' been able to see the site at all though or the php admin pages etc. Just cpanel. I need my account to be tweaked....So I'm posting and waiting.

We copy-pasted those details from request.

Hence mike you wrote that wrong in your request and hence this caused.

but dont worry, it will be eradicated now.

I think I'm having the same problem as this guy...
