about 3 months ago. ive tried installing vista and it was horrible. i wonder hows vista now? any experience?
What do you mean by horrible?
I have Vista and honestly, I don't have any problems with it at all. I rather quite like it :) Mabye it's because I don't use it for some things that Vista might not be good at (whatever that may be), but I haven't found anything to gripe about. I hope it stays that way.

It's been a bit buggy for me. Games Explorer doesn't work anymore. It's a bit slow at starting up and shutting down. Drivers are a bit buggy. Other than that it's good.

First of all, are you using the authentic version of Vista? If not, do expect it to be buggy. Secondly, is your system one of the latest machines, i.e. 2GB ram and loads of hard disk capacity with dual core processor? If not, expect it to be slow. Vista is a simply resource-demanding operating system.

Keith, what do you mean authentic? Do you mean legit, as in not pirated, or retail?

As Keith explained, vista is stable and good if your system is loaded with latest hardware and memory. But if you are using XP, I dont find any good reasons to shift to Vista. Vista mainly gives new visual experiences and some security features
