Server Move

We are in the process of moving the Host Matrix site, forums and directory to a new server. This should improve overall uptime and hopefully forum speed. I will explain in another thread why this has become necessary.

There is a nasty side affect that I cannot prevent; basically some posts that are made in the next 24 hours could be lost. The only alternative to this would be to close the forum, which I obviously don't want to do.

The move has actually already been done and for all you tech heads we are just waiting for the new DNS settings to propagate.

Lol, i think if you're posting here your going to be a tech head :P

Anyway this is great! Who's the new service provider? Also, will the accounts be moved eventually as well?

Does this mean all of our sites are moving also? And if it does, would that mean our forums would do the same thing? I don't have any but just out of curiousity... :P

We are moving to our current providers parent company. Individual accounts will not be moved yet. The reason for the recent down time was abuse of our services, i.e. bad coding of PHP and SQL. From that I am sure you can work out why we are not moving accounts yet. I won't explain more here as there is a good chance this thread will be lost.
