View Full Version : Anyone here likes the Final Fantasy Series?
Final Fantasy Series is the rpg that I like the most! and i like ff4, ff6 and ff8 the best!!!! I even have a website about ff8. :P

Well, like I always say to my friends...I don't consider FF games as RPGs, but as adventure games, since I rate a game between adventure and RP game for the possibility to build your own character. RPGs like Fallout let you create him/her right from the start, but in adventure games you can't change him/her, but only play with him/her.
I own only FF 10 because I bought it with my brother...Never completed it, but watched him doing it. I didn't actually like the story, but it was OK. I've seen my friends playing about all the FFs. They're OK, but just not my style.

umm... so sad.... you should have begin with the earlier ffs. then you may found them more interesting. as i've said, i love ff4, ff6, ff8 and ff7(forgot to mention), and these are all great!!! even if you don't think they're rpg(i agree with your point), i believe you'd enjoy playing them (though you may not like to play old games with characters of boxy pixels...)
in fact i don't really like ff10 as well, not a game from the ff series that i'd expected(but i've played it for 3 times :rolleyes: ). but it's still okay. however, i dislike the all the ffs after ff10, they are just not final fantasy.
fallout is great, i love it as well :)

Well, I've played some with emulators(I've played like ALL FF games but never completed). Adventure games can be good as well(Ah, Sierra!) and pixel graphics can be good also(Ah, Nostalgia!). The one thing I hate about FF is random fights. It's like every 15 seconds you're in a fight.>_>
Oh, and if you don't like to call me with that name, you could of course use "Serial Number".;)

Final Fantasy is an excellent Game Series... well minus FFX-2 muhahahahaha...
Favorite would have to be 9 though... mainly cause it's the only one i've actually beaten... and only in 48 hours :P

i agree with that, neither do i like the random fights, can be so frustrating... but you always need them to level up~ and in fact, there're always some special armours or guardian forces which you can use to have special abilities to disable all the random fights. ;)

WOWWWWW!!!!! 48 hrs!!!!!! that's really clever!! it took me 79 hrs the first time i played it! :blink:

Umm loser where did you get the emulaters and roms? I have FF3 but my nes is sorta broken (getting a new one soon from Game Stop).

I was about 1/4 of the way done with it... and then my memory card got corrupt... so I started all over on spring break... and was finished with it by the end of it... and I played for about 5 Hours a day :P beating the final boss at about 48 hours :P
omg, still, thats really clever!
why don't you play till the final stage for the other final fantasys?

You still can't been the old nintendo games:) 7 I thought was really awesome and the story took you in! 8 wasn't too bad either. Even nine was ok but X i think it was with the stupid soccer kid was gay. I lost all respect for the series when that came out.
I still haven't tried the online game does anyone play that?

i've tried ffxi. i hate it. it's not even a ff. don't even think of trying it. after that u'd not just "lost respect", but hate the series.

I love Final Fantasy. I currently play FFXI, and it is the longest game ever!! I love FF6. It is in my opinion the greatest game ever. I also enjoy FF3 (the Japanese one) and FF5. I have yet to play FF8, FF9, and FF10, even though I own all of them. I just don't have enough time. FF2 I didn't really like very much. But I played the PSX version of it and it is good.
hehe, allow me to advertise my ff8 site here a little bit :P
it has got ff8 images, wallpapers, soundtracks, movies(currently offline though), game faqs, nice fanfictions and i'll add more soon:)

be patient though, that host i'm using can be really slow -_-
