Hi everyone :)

i've just started to appreciate css over tables and wondered if anyone thinks the same. I work a lot with html and have found it's limitations extremely irritating at times. I'm not too good at handcoding some other web development languages such as php as yet, though i'm learning!

Anyway was wondering how many of you work with css over tables and if there are any limitations (other than cross browser compatibilty) that go against using css as i'm rather new at the complexity of it (using it for layout as well as style).

Anyway, i did search the this forum for any mentions of css and couldn't find a lot so i hope i haven't repeated a past topic  .

I did a quick search on the forums and found these three topics. I admit, I didn't find them through the search box due to the wide parameters of my search. I had to manually go through the topics and find them. I had the previous knowledge that it had been discussed before, so we'll let this slip this time ;) Here are the topics that I found. Enjoy! :)

Don't have a phobia, all of your contributions to HM that I have seen appear worthwhile :)

I'm a huge advocate of CSS, the main pages of HM (http://www.hostmatrix.org) are now totally table free, if you do a view source on http://www.hostmatrix.org you will see just how simple the HTML now is. I spent an hour trying to change the links on the old page and add some new functionality before giving up .

Redoing the page with CSS took less than an hour and in the long run the maintainability advantages will save even more time.

Just so we are clear, I wasn't scolding you. It was more difficult to find those than I had thought.. I knew where to look because I've been here for 4 months. Don't fret. Glad you found what you were looking for.
