View Full Version : CSS Section
I know there's a lot of revamping going on right now, especially with the forums. My suggestion is to
a. get rid of the Recycle bin section of the forum - it does nothing but waste space.
b. add a CSS section of the forum under Web Development, because half of the HTML section is about CSS. It would be nice just to have a place to post about CSS

geek,
1. CSS is part of HTML...so there is no wrong it can be placed in thesame forum...maybe make a subforum of html for css...
2. The Recycle Bin will let people know who spammed the most, and will be a wake-up area for the spammers or see if one has been spamming...

al,
a. I know CSS is part of HTML, but it would be easier to find stuff about CSS in a CSS Division (or even Subdivision) of the forum.
b. This theory obviously doesn't work, since the Recycle bin has been around forever, and people still spam (Althouh, with the adding of mods are the stricter rules we have in place, its died down quite a bit) I just dont think the Recycle bin serves the purpose everyone thinks it does. I've only looked in the Recycle bin once, to see what it was.

Bleh, I requested a CSS forum a while back. Maybe now that more people want it we can get it :).
Anyways, it should be a subforum. :P

Since CSS and HTML are so interlinked (with DIVs, classes, id's, etc) it may be difficult deciding whether to place your post in the CSS section or the HTML section and could mean that users would need to look through both sections to find what you are after.
I'm not sure if this is a good idea as people might post a query in the CSS section when the answer is already there for them in the HTML section.
A: The recycle bin will disappear in the changes (you know them :)) that will be happening today.
B: Possibly a CSS forum will pop up, but I can't guarentee it. Personally, I think it's a great idea, but we'll have to wait on the admins for this one.

Why don't we have an HTML & CSS forum? It seems pointless to separate them in anyway, particularly as more and more people are going towards using CSS for styling...

Alphonse we didn't have a HTML & CSS forum on the IPB one. People put their CSS questions in the HTML forum but it wasn't titled "HTML & CSS."
