I'm curious to know what an average website would normally use in bandwidth in a day. I know it varies according to the site but I have no idea what a site would use.

Can someone give me a hint, please?

Example: This site has a fair bit of traffic every day, what bandwidth does it use on average?

I really dunno' how much bandwidth this site uses up...but you can try viewing your bandwidth....

Go to your cpanel and theres a row there on the left side which indicates your bandwidth usage for this month...

Since you know how much traffic your site has...then you can really figure thing out...

hope that helps :)

In 4 days I've used almost 4mb. I hope this high bandwidth useage is because I'm mucking around with the site so much because I haven't advertised the site so the only person going there is me.

That's why I asked the original question. I'm a bit worried. How much bandwidth will I use when I've advertise and I get people coming to the site regularly?

Well, i was actually chastised for using too much lol, on my first two days i used 100 mb of bandwidth
now that things have settled down, it is more like 25-30 mb a day, sometimes closer to 60-70.

Oh! I should stop worrying then?!? I thought I was being excessive. :)

Umm... when you only have 500mb of bandwidth... you really might want to consider the size and amount of images displayed on your site. That is real bandwidth killer... and if you don't change that, you won't have a site for very long... sorry to break that to you :P

Aw, I only have one image on my site and that totals 7k so I think I'll be safe there but I was going to do image links to WordPress, HostMatriss and the designer - but I think I'll provide text links instead.

I prefer image light sites, even if there isn't a bandwidth limit.
