what to do with sound

ok so i want to add some sounds to my flash.... but what's the best optimization? i have fruitloops..... should i use MP3's? jus curious

Import WAV files and then choose the level of MP3 compression when you publish your final movie. If you import MP3's into the movie then you get problems looping them (i.e. there is a small silence when the sound loops).

What I do is make a few different versions of the same file with different amount of compression applied to them. That way you can listen to the output, inspect the filesize of each version, then come to a decision on which is the best balance of KB and sound quality.

...oh, and converting to mono cuts the sound file size in half so if you can get away with it then it can be a good option (do this especially if your fruityloops stuff doesn't have left-right channel differences).
