As I've said before, I've finished speech class and am now in comp. and research...we write papers now.

We just had to write a small essay describing our most important 'simple joy'...aka one that doesn't involve lots of money expenditure, technology, or...other complex things. For example: star watching. jokes. getting to look at the fishies at the pet store. springtime. breakfasting with your family. that sort of thing.

Mine was drawing...it's not always (or ever) very good, but I love sketching cartoons and things. It's also fun for me to, in Paint, pick one paintbrush setting and see what I can draw...my personal pic was the result of one of these ramblings.

Anyhoo, what's your most important simple joy? Is society to wrapped up in fancy things to stop and smell the roses?

ahh... simple joys.

you know when its a really hot day and you're somewhere were there is lots of concrete, and the concrete is really hot... and then it rains and it makes that lovely smell and lovely atmosphere everywhere. its beautiful. is that simple enough ?

I also like just listening to music late at night. A Perfect Circle in particular.

Beautiful. Quite simple enough. I love the rain...in moderation, anyway. A Perfect Circle, eh? I absolutely love 'The Nurse Who Loved Me," and "the Fiddle and the Drum".

Yes rain is good. APC is truly amazing. www.aperfectcircle.net is a great site for live bootlegs, try and get one for The Nurse Who Loved Me. They play it very differently live and it sounds great. My favourites are Vanishing, Weak and Powerless, The Noose, Gravity, Judith, 3 Libras, The Hollow, and Brena. I don't have eMOTIVE or aMOTION.

Music is very relaxing. I also enjoy doing some creative writing, when I get into it it helps me relax.

music is probably the most common. to me drawin is too. i guess listenin to a certain song while im in a certain mood brings out creativity in me
