Hey, this is Loser...On Ubuntu! I cut some space from my Windows drive to experiment LINUX. Well, I searched for something easy, and found Ubuntu. (http://www.ubuntulinux.org/) It said it was easy to install and use(GUI) and it really is! It was almost like Windows install. The only part where I had to think was partitioning the drive. And hell, all I've done with OSs is installing Windows XP for a few times. I recommend everyone checking this out if they wanna try Linux. There's also a live CD(Note, not for 64 CPUs or Macinctosh) to try. It's based on Debian.
PS: And a dumb question to the end...What's the command to delete stuff in terminal?

The *nix remove command is
rm
Type (without quotes) "man rm" at the command line to get the full details. The man (for manual) pages are your friend. Type "man (something)" for more info on a particular subject, utility, app, or anything.
Use carefully, rm can be really powerful.

Id recommend that anyone who wanted to try linux go for a linux live CD then and only then try installing one. I have Red Hat 9 running a Web Server on Apache & FTP Server.
I have really enjoyed setting it up so anyone else with a large amount of time to spend and a interest in Linux go and try and set a Linux box up.
Even better run a Web Server networked with other computers through a router. Its abit more tricker :P
Anyone has any questions or are stuff just PM me or email me mark@fightinglimits.co.uk

I tried Knoppix before installing. The main difference to me is that it used KDE and this is Gnome. ;)
...And that I can't access my Windows files with this.
