You never know where inspiration will come from.

In my case: "your Homer sig" + "your Omega piece" = the inspiration I needed to create a sig of my own.

So, that's a Yes, I like it.

I used Photoshop 7 + 3dsm
I got some brushes from various sites.
I used a TON.
I even used one of my own

It's not a wallpaper.
(unless your on a widescree, but it's still not a standard height or width)
the proportions will be all messed up.

That is some really amazing work. I'm currently going to school for graphic design and so I tend to play around with PSP8 a lot. However, because of a lack of money at the moment I can't get a really good 3D program. I believe I shall forever be inferior to your skills.

i have no skills only luck of pressing the right random buttons.
Well, i guess I do know what i'm doing.
Heck, for some just figuring out the program is a skill.

As for 3d progs, try Blender 3d
Search for Anim8or on google.
