Well, I have to say (since i think phpbb is easy to configure over IPB) That some of the best (for 2.0.11) Thrill Kill and EzHyperShadow.
Though adding them may be tough, you just gotta be a friendly user to your database, first ALWAYS read the manual that comes with the skin, this will be your bible to skinging ;)
You can manualy enter a skin into your forums, though i don't know if you can use EZMod to install it, though if you could use it that would be very helpful, well first off get the download and start entering it into your forums. Now im going to check if EasyMod will install the templates and get back to you.

welll, i install alot of phpbb skins too. manually uploading the files will take about more than 45 minutes. and sometimes the theme will not work properly because of tiny little mistakes during the manual upload... sweaty..!
what i recommend is you download a copy of smart ftp/ ace ftp. then drag your downloaded theme file to the web directory via the ftp server. ( not sure i am saying this right) within minutes, you will have your skin installed professionally! :P
These are a few sites for downloading nice phpbb skins:
PhpBB Skins 1 (http://www.phpbb.com)
PhpBB Skins 2 (http://www.themesdb.com/phpbb20_themes.html)
PhpBB Skins 3 (http://www.phpbbhacks.com/)
PhpBB Skins 4 (http://www.phpbbstyles.com/)

That's nice and all but to me sometimes i get bugs when installing the darn things.
I think they have to work on some of the code to make it efficient for proper installation and execution.
They really do have some decent skins.

yes, i agree, making your own phpbb skin means you can customize everything into what you like the best. however, for most non-advanced users, it will take a longer time than just finding one that suits you quite well from some sites.
Ok, so Canada / Flames, customizing phpbb is really just a matter of uploading a new skin? Thanks for the links posted above for skin resources. I would defenitely like to customize mine a little bit. JackZhou, will your method work here at Host Matrix? ie: the steps you have outlined above seem fairly straight forward. Just checking, as I've already setup my layout, and don't want to pooch everything!
Thanks
