1) Well my name is Steve, I am 16 and currently residing in Australia. I enjoy such things as bike riding and listening to music. I play alot of sport in particular Australian rules football and cricket. As far as webmastering goes I consider myself fluent in html and know some but little javascript, I am also intricate in creating fully working website layouts using photoshop, an example of my work is my personal site (http://www.strategyplanet.com/Populous/Salty)
2) Me and my friend who resides in America come from a community of gamers who play "Populous: The Beginning", which was produced by Bullfrog at the time. The rights later on moved to EA where they neglected the game for 4 years. Though through this time player attitude was good, ethics were used and a good level of sportsmanship was shown. When EA closed it's Populous server down in late 2003, the community of players then looked for somewhere else to play. A group of these players created the site "Populous: Reincarnated (http://www.strategyplanet.com/Populous)" and in this created a fully working matchmaker with which to play.
However, the administrative control on the mm has become unstable and are unwilling to do anything about the recent spate of unsportsmanship, constant swearing and continuous arguments which were never evident in the old EA system. The admins have done nothing and have even rejected claims that this horrible display of social attitude exists, therefore doing nothing about it. My friend, myself, and a host of others committed ourselves to creating a section of this community where these things will never happen, naming ourselves the "Dragon Team". We started off as a small community, then grew into a large gaming clan. This was the wrong choice and we soon became corrupt like the people we had sworn not to become. It was our own fault to allow people whom did not see eye to eye with our ways of sportsmanship into the community in the first place.
Motivated by the need to create a stable community however, we have united again to recreate our community. This time however, it will not be a clan. Our hopes are that we can gather a community of players whom have great sportsmanship, etiquette and attitudes and set an example. We also hope to create our own matchmaker for us to use where we can further monitor the situation and create a safe place for us to play and to undo the corruptness that dogged the present system. We have been searching for 5 months for a suitable host, to no avail until a google search brang up HM.
3) I would like it to be dragonslair.hostmatrix.org if that is possible.
4) Our original site started at http://www.websamba.com/DragonWorlds, but as you can see not much had happened. We hope to have a php-nuke server so it won't be hard for the people who aren't good at html to run the site.
5) Package HM basic on account we don't have posts, but are willing to bolster up packages.
6) My e-mail is zoutje@gmail.com, my friends is iluvboobs@netscape.net (excuse the e-mail wording ;) )
