No Offense to terminator, but i don't like the banner on the main page.
It's just a blue, with a bad looking font and a shadow that's the same color as the font.
I think that someone should redo it, and possibly, have a contest for hosting space.

Didnt they have a contest for this? oh well, i know what you mean it is kinda bland, i think it would be a good idea to have another contest, there are quite a few people here that are good with graphic design, and im sure we could get a great banner for the site.

They had a contest for a logo, (which wan't a banner)
and a banner, i think it was for giving to other sites for affiliating or advertising or something

no I think they had a contest for the main page but not for the banner. so maybe they should consider a contest for the banner. but what would be the prize?

heres a few i did real quick... <i only did the part of the image that has anything on it, not the entire banner (its sliced in 2 pieces)>

I think it should be a little more dressed up than that. If HM is a hosting company, they should look like one. I know that usually when I got to a hosting company and they have really crappy sites, you can't trust them, because they didn't put any time to make the site nice so that visitors would come back.

But you could also see it as if they have a crap site it's probably because they put all their money and time into the hosting/server management.

Not true at all... A site doesn't take any money to make, and they can have a contest about it. I just think that it's good to have something that people enjoy looking at. Just my opinion.
