Well, I know how to get my site onto google, kindof, Get A LOT of people to put my link on their site, and/or put add the site manually onto google.
But, do I have to put some kindof Keywords into my webpage or anything like that? or does it just take all the text off my site?
I'm kindof... ignorant ... so if you could be sortof, detailed, that would help

Google looks mostly at content, not meta tags... so don't worry too much about those. The important thing is to have good content; this goes for google and for google adsense. And don't randomly insert keywords that are not relevant to your content; you'll get penalized big time for that if found out... :P
Also, if you participate in link exchange, don't make your link appear on too many sites that are irrelevant to yours. That's also frowned upon.

Lol my site is about a week old, and I've been on google for a couple of days, btw my site sucks. I don't think its really that hard for them to turn you down if you submit ur site.

also put some meta tags in ur site describe it lil for s engines in (<HEAD>) <META name="description" content=" ">
<META name="keywords" content=""> before(</HEAD>)
insert this into ur index page and write whats it about beetwween those" write here!"

Gooogle neglects meta tags for ranking system Meta tags are only useful for other small search engines. :P

Man JYM you must have a mouse problem cause this is the second time in 5 minutes that I've seen you double/triple post.

There is no way that google can check each site manually. I don't know how they approve sites but I know that they send out spiders which follow links to rank you. The more pages you get linked from, the higher the rank is, that's what I understand anyway, If I'm wrong, please correct me.

I think jym was spamming for post count, because those 3 posts were not consecutive, because you may only post once per 15 seconds, even if you "accidently" hold down enter, while replying or something like that. So jym just got a free 3 posts there :( Please don't abuse things such as this.

you can get some seo tools that optimizes your website for google and othr search engines..might save lot of coding time for you.. and back linking works.. yes.. get your link on some popular websites that will help you.

I did mondo SEO research last year for a site I co-designed. The best advice that anyone can give to you re: Google, is to forget about it!!!!

Make sure your content is very relevant....and make sure there's lots of content!

Build it and they will come works the best.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put the URL of the site we did here...so I won't as it's a commercial one....but suffice to say that slowly over time it got higher and higher in ranking. Some particular products higher than others ....

Exchange links with lots of sites is good..but not on link farms...and be picky about who you put on yours.
