Earlier today, Clickherefree.com was hacked by DX Team. At around 3 PM PST, I found the following message on their site:

The Official Free Web Hosting Guide is Down for Security Issues. The IP address' of the ACTUAL (not the proxy) computers used to abuse this site were forwarded to the FBI. To the folks who did this. I'll see you in court.

Looks like DX Team might finally be extinguished.

Haha good riddance, hackers are people who have little or no social life so instead of doing stuff with friends they screw up computers just so they feel umm I cant think of the word, basicaly hacker=complete ass!

Hacking is digital graffiti. They do it because they can. It takes some work to get good at, like graffing, and when you're good you get a weird kind of anonymous attention. The similarities are striking, now that I think about it.

Not that I'm condoning either.

Those are "Network Security Analasys" tutorials. ;)

The hardware store sells cans of spraypaint, for painting sheds of course. :P

Heh, i must admit that I am impressed by the DX team. But cumon, they just abused ClickhereFree, which i disrespect the most.
This is google's cached version: http://www.google.co.in/search?q=cache:EGY.../+DX+team&hl=en (http://www.google.co.in/search?q=cache:EGYO3Hzz2BEJ:www.clickherefree.com/+DX+team&hl=en)
Anyways, ClickhereFree is back on track again.

I hope they people get sued till they have nothing to their name. There is a website hackthissite.org which is devoted to help people hack....

Yeah i've been in that website but it doesnt really help you out a lot its just a simple game where all you have to do in the beggining is look at the source code to find out the answer. Nothing big. and im not trying to sound like if I promote hackers or anything but I think learning how to hack is just another way of learning on different ways to understand the internet and other computers a little bit more. but how come i never heard of this dx team?

The DX Team has a reputation for hacking random semi-popular sites and replacing the site with a single page with their logo on it. I think they've been especially busy this month, but of course I don't have the exact details on their operations.

Hackers... I don't know who would hack and not regret it the second they did it. If clickherefree.com wasn't hacked, I would have found this place 7 hours earlier. It doesn't only hurt people who own the site-- It hurts a whole bunch of others in the process. Jeers to the DX Team.

Evading the FBI is actually easier than it may seem. If a hacker is able to get on a public computer, e.g. in a library, and manages to do stuff on it without attracting attention, then the IP discovered would be the library's IP, not the hacker's. Of course the hacker would have trouble finding a public computer with a low enough level of security to allow him to install programs, access certain ports, etc. Still, it remains a possibility, and I don't see why we don't hear about people doing it.

Yea its sad people try to hack and sometimes suceed. However you can prevent all your hard work from going by simple making db back-ups onto a home or another server and keeping spares of all your files.
