I was there thinking i need a way of letting other members know how i felt about memberx and member y.
Memberx pm'd me with a registry change, after properly readin through the changes (lines in a reg file) i noticed that if i had made the changes i would have opened a port closed by my firewall.
Now if i had posted that Memberx (sorry if this is a real member) was a wanker, i would have probably been banned, cos there is no way of legally proving what went on.
Rating members gives you the chance to see how other members polled Memberx or Membery , so you will get an idea if the information you are reading is accurate or in-accurate.
This means if memberx is rated as GOOD you can probably trust them, but if they where rated UGLY, then they would have to post a lot of good stuff in order to get there status back to GOOD.
Polling is good because it will ensure the quality and quantity of good posts.
Maybe we can use emoticons to visualise how the poll rates a member, and give a statistic of how many votes where recived out of a whole total of voters/members.
I really can't see how this is not a good idea.
