One of my friends told my I have to be atleast 18 years or age to sign up for an adsense account. Is this true? Also, if it is, would it hurt putting the account in my parent's name? Thanks

You can put it in your parent's name.

I'd just fake it unless they're really going to validate everything and track me down. will they?

You can fake them, but you can't fake your bank. They are sending checks and you will be in trouble if ur country is strict with age rules.

I suggest you make an 18 year old friend or use someone in your family. Tell em you will give them 5% which is pretty fair.

Bah, they will probably end up taking all your money into their own bank account.

 you better make it a good friend.
And I am sure if you explained to your dad or mum what you are doing very carefully they wont mind. Because your given the details to google a reputable company, and you only give them your address, its not even like you give them anything that valuable. And when one of your parents picks up a check for $100 dollars how could they be mad at you? And the best part is your doing the whole thing 100% legitimately.

Bit like my dad, but since I dont have ads, at the moment I have no need to worry about it at the moment. But I think I will tackle my mum when I want to get some. And if I get my bro (computer genius) to agree with me that its legal and safe then I should be home and try.
Well at least the theory is sound. :D

adn besides, who could complain about legally earning money?
Here's something I didn't expect. In the Clicksor text advertising user agreement:
"Minimum Age Requirements:
No person under the age of 18 is allowed to participate in our program unless written permission from a parent or legal guardian, notarized, signed and dated, is faxed to 1-503-213-6300"
So there's an ad company that does technically let under 18's use their service. I don't think it would be as hard to convince your parent to sign a note and fax it as it is to make them give out all their bank info. Plus, clicksor can pay directly into paypal. I just noticed this today, and I might consider doing it in the future. What do you guys think? :)
EDIT: http://www.clicksor.com is the website if you want to have a look around.

Ive got 2 points, first of them is Google Ad-sense does not require you to give out bank info, as you claim, they only ask for your address to mail you a check. And second of all I have heard from a person who tried clicksor for a while that they dont pay much money.
