Can't go to my ftp

ftp.hostmatrix.org , when I go there I get an error anyone knows why?

for example ,

creator.hostmatrix.org for FTP URL and cpanel username pass for authentication.

Similarly use your subdomain/domain address.

ftp://ftp.magicalneo.hostmatrix.org/ I go to my own ftp and get error....

stick to ftp.hostmatrix.org. then stick in the user and pass. thats how it works for me.

and dont use "ftp://". it doesnt work well.

it just redirects me back to fttp://ftp.hostmatrix and a error
FTP FOLDER ERROR
Windows cannot acess this folder. Make sure you typed the file name correctly and that you have permission to acess the folder.

Details:

Are you just going there from your browser? You'll likely want an FTP client if you plan on doing any serious file transer, MagicDKA has a list of them in that gigantic amazing thread of his. :)

EDIT: I suddenly get the feeling you are using an FTP client.. blah, if so, sorry. >.<

I used a ftp client and used ftp.hostmatrix.org for the host and used my username and pass and tada. I tried going to ftp.hostmatrix.org in the browser but that didn't work. So you should get a ftp client.

how do you get one , I thought you get it when The admins register an account to you , you get your cpanel account and ftp is it? or are they diffrent?

Open M$ IE. Type ftp.hostmatrix.org into the address bar. When you get your error, click ok. Goto File>Login As... and then input your Cpanel login information. You should then be logged into your FTP account.

Now make sure you are in the html folder (www shortcut folder) and start uploading :D

I suggest you get an FTP client though. It's a much better idea than to FTP through your browser. There are tons of free ones out there; you can find them on: http://www.downloads.com

Personally, I use Core FTP Lite and it's terrific :)

you can also use an online ftp client. I just did a google search for 'online ftp cleint' and came up with this (http://www.hostned.com/FTP/). I've used it once and it works. :lol:

i think u have to go to ur cpanel and allow annonymous to log on, ftp settings chek it, also iam recieving this error : Unable to setup secure annonymous FTP. *iam using mozzila. and when i try to use IE it says that windows cant acces that folder make shure u typed file name correctly and that you have permision to acces the folder. and then Details: "how many users are allowed what user are u out of 50, local time and etc..
