Hi guys, Can anyone help me out?I already installed and configured my Gallery. I tried it out and worked well. The only thing is I cant upload my images. It said something like cannot create thumbnail... I think its with the installation of NetPBM or ImageMagick on the server (i think..)... I noticed that in the configure its pointing to a directory its usr/bin is this where Image Magick or NetPBM located?

Thanks! :D

Don't know about it iecep, but there was a problem in GD usage. Perhaps that is the problem with you too. THe server doesnot support GD library.

Photobucket offers the same service like Coppermine?

I had a problem like you describe here. Turned out that there were some warnings on the first gallery configuration step saying there were some missing elements from NetPBM and ImageMagick. They didn't look like fatal errors but did prevent me from uploading images (and I got the thumbnail error). I solved it by loading NetPBM in my own directories and that solved the problem for me.

There may be a better way to solve it, but this is what worked for me. Gallery looks like a great photo gallery application if you can get past this.

your posting in an old topic...

I never really fixed that problem I have...instead I just deleted my Gallery installation and installed Coppermine...

I think only GD is supported and no NET PBM and Image Magick...

Hope that helps...

Thanks but I think my experience might be useful for others. Most of NET PBM and (I think) Image Magick is already installed here. There just seemed to be one or two modules missing and installing NET PBM solved the problem for me. I haven't used coppermine, but gallery looks very intriguing and I'm going to pursue using it myself.

NOTE TO ADMINISTRATORS: I have to reconfigure gallery now so if it will be helpful, I'll be glad to write down which module it complains about if that will help.

That would be really helpful...

You know what, we have the same reason in choosing Gallery, but the thing is, I'm not as persistent as you are.

You said your'e going to install NETPBM or Image Magick modules? Where? I think its meant to be installed on the server...

Oh well I just bid you luck ...hope you find the "mystery" behind Gallery

Oh and pls post a link to your working Gallery in case you finish setting it up, so I can see what Gallery has to offer.aight? thanks!
