No olivia you can disable the pop ups from dot tk...I have one and there's no pop ups

shorturl.com is great i used it and had no problems - they give you a few choices for your domain name and you have a choice of either a small text link on your homepage or a small image link - and NO POPUPS!

I thought it's possible to turn off .tk's ads somehow? I used .tk for a while and I think yo could turn off the ads via the options panel without violating their ToS.

tk domains are free, they have some annoying ads which apperantly could be turned of. if your site has a low number of vistors during 3 months then tk won't be useful. are there any others that offer free domain like dot.tk

tk stands for tokelau, which is an island somewhere. they have a few options, the free redirection service comes with ads but you can also pay to get rid of them.

Well see ads would throw me off, the domain is nothing special, I mean .tk, and if the ads are bad no one will come. SO are they pop up or banners?

Actually you can easily turn the default pop-up ad off without paying at all.

...under My marketing when you're logged into the dot.tk site you disable the linker promo.

I think these are just domains, which redirect to the domain's owner's site, so the only thing you can be concerned in is that do they have pop-ups or other ads.

What do you have to do as a Dot Tk ambassador? How do you earn points? How long did it take you? pls help...im interested...and is the "purchase" forever?(or good only for a year or sumthin like that?)

To earn points as an Ambassador you have to refer people, I believe. When people sign up for a domain there is a coupon number they have to put in and that identifies the Ambassador who referred them.
